Domain Transfer

Transferring your domain names to RJbiz Internet solutions is quick and simple, and means you can consolidate any or all of your current domain names into one account, with the powerful management features provided by TheConsole, plus great future savings on domain name renewal costs.

To get started, just enter a domain name and the domain password for the domain you wish to transfer and click 'Transfer'. You will be able to add more domain names to your transfer list on the next page.

Password Help

The domain name password (also known as Registry Key or auth. code) is sent by email to the registered owner of the domain name at the time of purchase.

You will need to enter the relevant password for each domain name you wish to transfer.

If you don't have a record of the password, don't worry our Password Help section below will help you recover your password.

If your domain name was registered with us.

RJbiz Internet solutions Domains

If your domain name was registered with RJbiz Internet solutions, you don't need to transfer your Domain Name. You can manage your domain by logging in to TheConsole™.

If your domain name was registered with MelbourneIT.

MelbourneIT Domains

Electronic recovery

  1. Go to http://www.melbourneit.com.au/maintenance/recoverkey.php
  2. Enter your domain name and request the Registry Key to be emailed to you.

Hard copy recovery

  1. If your email address has changed, so you can't be emailed the password, complete the form at http://www.melbourneit.com.au/maintenance/recoverkey.php

If your domain name was registered with Verisign (previously Network Solutions).

  1. Go to http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/manage-it/forget-login.jhtml
  2. Enter your domain name and request the Domain Name Password to be emailed to you.

Hard copy recovery

  1. If your email address has changed, so you can't be emailed the password, send a fax to Network Solutions in the USA
  2. Turn around is approximately 72 hours, although we know Network Solutions to be incredibly inefficient. We recommend you follow up your fax immediately and secure the direct line of a consultant.

If the owner of the domain name is a company

  1. You must send a fax on letterheaded stationary, the name on the stationary matching the name of the Registrant (domain name owner)
  2. The signatory of the fax must be an authorised indivdiual of the company
  3. The signatory must include their full name and title
  4. Include the domain name in question, the NIC tracking ID would be advantageous
  5. Follow with a photocopy of your photo I.D. to the fax (drivers licence, or passport)
  6. Fax to 0011 1 571-434-4620

Turn around is usually 72 hours. We recommend you follow up your fax immediately and secure the direct line of a consultant to ensure this happens smoothly.

If the owner of the domain name is an individual

  1. Follow the above procedure, however you will not be able to use headed staionary
  2. Specifically, you must include the phrase on the fax:

"I, <your name>, am the domain name Registrant, I am not a business entity, I am authorised to make changes to the domain name <domain>, please find my photo I.D. attached. Please update the email address of the Registrant contact to be <your email>.

If your domain name was registered with Register.com.

Electronic recovery

  1. Go to http://mydomain.register.com/forget_password.cgi
  2. Enter your domain name and request the Domain Name Password to be emailed to you.

Hard copy recovery

  1. If your email address has changed, so you can't be emailed the password, complete the form at http://www.register.com/forms/email_change_form.cgi
  2. Do not forget to include appropriate forms of I.D.

Domain names registered elsewhere, or Not Sure.

Domains registered elsewhere

.AU domain names (including .COM.AU, .NET.AU, .ASN.AU, .ORG.AU, .ID.AU)

  1. Click here to email the password to the registered domain owner
  2. If your email address has changed, you can contact that Registrar by phone/email and request your domain name password
  3. Under auDA policy, that Registrar must send you the password within 3 days otherwise they risk losing their accreditation, assuming you follow their reasonable requests for proof of identity

Top level domains (.COM, .NET, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO etc.)

  1. Go to our WhoIs search page.
  2. Search for your domain name registration details (WhoIs Searcch) by entering the domain name in question and click 'GO'
  3. Find the information described as "Registrar name", or "Registrar of Record"
  4. Contact this company, requesting your password.
